Jennifer Ferguson is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) specializing as a master’s prepared psychiatric–mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), who has worked in healthcare for over twelve years. She is looking to utilize her plentitude of knowledge and experience in treating adults and young adults with depression, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders, and more. Jennifer received her bachelor’s degree at Southern Illinois University and continued to receive her master’s degree at Walden University, graduating from both schools with honors. She worked as a traveling registered nurse in many specialties before and during the pandemic while embarking on this educational path. This experience has profoundly impacted Jennifer’s understanding of the necessity of accessible, affordable, non-discriminate, quality mental health care, and so has become passionate about each aspect with a complete understanding of the importance of the therapeutic relationship between the patient and the practitioner. She believes that each patient is unique yet deserves the same respect regardless of their background.
An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity.
